Nut Sorting

Using our sorting skills to sort a box of nuts. Our local Kroger grocery store has a free Preschool Activity hour every week, and last week one of the games they had out was sorting nuts. I was not sure how educational an hour at a grocery store would be, but boy was I surprised! They had a number of really creative crafts (the waffle cone birdfeeder idea at CoOp today came from last week!), and some great home made games that could be done for cheap or free with the things lying around the house. We didn't have any nuts handy, so Reese & I picked up some today at the store & had a good time sorting them. Reese also loved to smash the nuts together & try to break them open. No such luck though! We go again tomorrow to Kroger, so I can't wait to see what they have planned!
