Hard At Work

Can I just say how thrilled I am that Saxon Phonics has "clicked" so well for Reese?

He's easily reading 3-5 letter words with short vowels.

I wasn't sure if Saxon was a good match since it's a workbook-based program, but Reese has really taken to it and I am so proud of how he's progressing!

That's awesome! It's such a relieving feeling when you find something that really works. We have two things in particular that have worked beautifully for both Jack & Anna: Horizons Math and an old antique Bible character training program (it's in black & white and very simple, but they've both grasped the concepts and love the stories). Other than that, we change curriculum about every 6 weeks! Sad, I know! Sometimes we just find a really good book and study it for a couple of weeks! Ahh, the flexibility of homeschooling.
