Reese & I had plans to hit to zoo on Monday, but I wasn't sure if the weather would hold out or not. It had rained overnight & looked like it might open up & dump some more rain on us. The clouds were semi-dark overhead & finally I decided to just throw caution to the wind and make our way to Ft. Worth!
I couldn't have made a better choice (**breaking arm as I pat myself on the back**). The clouds went away almost the instant we pulled in the parking lot. There were NO sign of school buses (YESSSS!) and there were maybe 30 cars total in the lot. The weather had warmed up to about 65 & sunny, so the animals were all out and very active.
We seemed to pass the same people all day long...I swear there were only about 100 people there in all. We had a great morning together & I always love it when we can time our visits to places when no schools are visiting!

Hey, we thought about going to the zoo then too but I chickened out because of the weather. Looks like you had a great time!
you should have bought a lottery ticket that day...a day at the Ft. Worth zoo without school buses is as rare as a winning ticket.
