A few days ago, the weather was chilly but the sun was out & there was not a cloud in the sky. Reese worked extra hard not to fall asleep in the car on the way home so that he could have a picnic outside for lunch. Usually, when we're heading home from our daily activity, he'll zonk out in the car and I'll bring him in for a nap.
But this day, he peered at the DVD in the car through barely-opened eyes, and when I pulled in the garage he sat right up & said "I stayed awake!" So, Mommy cooked some pizza & popcorn (Reese's requests) & we went out back in the sun to have lunch.
Zoe joined us, looking for a hand out.
Zoe waiting patiently for Reese to drop something....
Last Friday, we hosted a Holiday Brunch for playgroup. One of the activities I found was to make "snowflakes". You fold a large tortilla into quarters, cut it up just like you're making a paper snowflake, unfold it onto a foil lined cookie sheet, brush with melted butter, & sprinkle with colored sugars. Bake at 350 for 5-7 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Allow to cool for 5 minutes then sprinkle with powdered sugar "snow" & enjoy!
Isn't Reese's finished snowflake beautiful?
This weekend, Jessie had a volleyball tournament on Saturday & Sunday. Both days, Reese was at the facitilty for about 4 hours each day & was a real trooper. Saturday, Reese & Daddy had fun playing together in the bleachers....
And finally....yesterday, I wore my nifty red & white striped socks. Reese saw them & wanted to wear them too. So when we got home, I took them off & put them on him...except they turned in to full stockings for Reese. Which was just plain hillarious. He had the best time running across the floor & sliding...
