Art Lab

This Sunday, the Irving Arts Center hosted an Art Lab for children & young adults. Jessie & I took Reese to see what exactly an "Art Lab" was, and what a neat surprise! The Arts Center had a large room set aside for the children, & our guide gave us a short introduction to the artist on display in the Museum, Arie Van Selm. He uses stencils to create his very large paintings, so our guide showed us how to use the stencils & sponges to create our own works of art. Van Selm uses lots of head, bird, & "blob" shaped stencils, and so did we!
