Knowledge On The Side Of Body & Chaos

"Learning--for me--had to personal and practical. I needed to run with the learning, carry the new knowledge for long blocks like bags of laundry or groceries. To feel its weight and movement in my body and mind. To eat knowledge up, devour the 320 gummy worms at a sitting an painfully digest them. I wanted knowledge to pour over me like water from a drainpipe; I wanted to feel its cold wetness shrieking against my skin. My knowledge was on the side of body and chaos."

-Learning Joy from Dogs without Collars:A memoir by Lauralee Summer
